Army Surplus Store Surrey
When Ranger began in the mid Eighties the world was a very different place, and so was the Army Surplus scene. World War II was 40 years distant, the Vietnam War only 15 years distant. The Cold War and the nuclear threat were a continuing reality. The Irish Troubles posed a constant threat of terrorism.
Over the years conscription in most countries has ceased. The Berlin Wall has come down. Modern armies are compact and more specialized. Now, since Austria followed suit recently, every European army is issued with camouflage clothing rather than plain colours. The old stocks of WWII surplus and US surplus from Europe have virtually dried up. Surplus is no longer so cheap and plentiful.
Nevertheless, at RANGER, we continue to seek out and supply the best of army surplus in the world. We now import German Army ‘Moleskin’ Trousers direct from Germany because we know these are of incomparable quality. Clothing might now come from countries further east, for example our warm Slovak Parka is only £30, but we make sure that all the surplus we sell is useful and of top quality.
At the Trading Post we still sell ex army;
- Combat Jackets
- Combat Trousers
- German Army Para Boots and British Army Assault boots
- Boiler Suits
- Rucksacks and webbing
- Ammo Boxes
If you haven’t been to the Trading Post before, isn’t it time you visited one of the most exciting shops in London?
