- Soldier '95 shirt x2
- Soldier '95 trousers x2
- Soldier '95 combat jacket x1 (having 2 is a good idea though)
- Commando boot socks, 2-3 pairs recommended!
- Beret
- Green belt
- Enough underwear for however long you are going for
- Boots:
- British army issue, very good, reliable and relatively inexpensive!
- Magnum boots, little bit more expensive but the height in comfort!
- Green T-shirts (always take a couple of spares just in case!)
- Polish kit consisting of off and on brush, 1 tin of polish and a yellow duster.
- Penknife. NO DINOSAUR DAGGERS OR LOCK KNIVES!!!!!!!
- Right angle torch with red filter
- Trouser twists, 2 pairs because you are bound to lose 1 at least!
- Shemagh. Great scarf, very warm!
- Cam cream
- A good set of webbing:
It's essential to have a comfortable, well fitting set of webbing! There's nothing worse than having a set of webbing that doesn't fit properly, rubbing on your hips all weekend and leaving nasty sores. Some people find that assault vests are more comfortable but it really is a personal preference matter. Your best bet is to come in and try on a few different sets until you find the one that's right for you! - Bergen:
Again this is a personal preference matter. There are two main types of Bergen used: The engineers Bergen, very good, easy access top and loads of space. The infantry Bergen, classic Bergen again with loads of space but more pockets this time. - Water bottle, one of the most important bits of kit you can have!
- If getting your water bottle out every time isn't your thing then maybe a Camelback hydration pack is for you.
- Mess tins
- K.F.S (knife, fork, spoon)
- 'crap' hat – woolly hat ideally for those cold nights, and a DPM bush hat for day time.
- Baby wipes/Webtex camo wipes.
