Goods & Description of Goods

We describe our goods to the best of our ability and as accurately as we can to avoid misleading our customers and causing disappointment.

Typographical or omission errors may occasionally occur in prices, descriptive copy or photography. RANGER reserves the right to correct these errors and/or withdraw the offer. We reserve the right to alter specifications, colour, price and availability at any time without prior notice.

All our goods are sold as new or, where specified, in ex-issue, used, grade 1 condition. Military surplus grade 1 goods should be free from major repairs and be in excellent condition. We take great care in grading our army surplus and only sell fully serviceable items.

Knives and Blades

Please note we are not permitted to sell a knife or blade to any person under the age of 18. Criminal Justice Act 1988 (as amended).

Prices & Payments

All prices are in Pounds Sterling, and include UK Value Added (Sales) Tax (V.A.T) at 17.5%. We do not accept payment in any other currency.

Please note that we reserve the right not to accept or process any order that we deem suspicious without explanation.

If paying by cheque, please make the cheque payable to RANGER. Allow 5 working days for cheques to clear our bank. Only after your cheque has been cleared can we dispatch your goods.

If paying by postal orders, or international money orders, please make payable to RANGER. Please note - the responsibility for our receipt of this form of payment lies with the customer - therefore we strongly recommend that you use Recorded or Special Delivery as appropriate. Goods will be dispatched within 48 hours of receipt.

Please do not try to send cash through the post. We can not take responsibility for its loss in the postal system.

Delivery Charges

We aim to dispatch all orders within 24 hours of receipt of order. If your order is placed at the weekend we will dispatch the goods on Monday.

Because we are a long-established and well stocked shop practically all of the goods advertised on this site are held in stock at any one time. However, because we can not always predict buying trends in the shop there will be times when an item, or a colour, or a size are temporarily out of stock. If we are currently out of stock of any item you order, we will inform you immediately via email or telephone. We will give you an estimated date of delivery. At this stage you may opt to wait, choose another item, or else receive a full refund.

No goods can be posted without full and proper payment.

All postage and packing within the UK and for BFPO customers is free on orders with a total value of £25 or more. Otherwise there is a £5.00 charge to cover the costs of postage and packing. We dispatch most orders by Royal Mail Parcel Force. Please contact us for urgent deliveries and we will calculate express shipping costs for your goods.

We try to get your goods to you within 48 hours, but please allow 3 to 5 working days for delivery.

We reserve the right to deliver up to 20 working days from date of order, but we will always inform you by e mail if your goods will be delayed this long.

Goods are usually delivered between Monday and Friday 9.00 am and 5.00 pm. except on public and bank holidays.

Returns Policy

No quibble guarantee.

Should the goods supplied to you be unsuitable for your needs for any reason, and/or are defective in any way, they may be returned to us, within 7 working days of receipt, for a full refund of the cost of the item.

Please note, we will not exchange or issue a refund for any item if, in our opinion, and in the opinion of the manufacturer, it has been abused, or has been deliberately damaged. In any cases of dispute we will submit the item to the manufacturer or distributor for arbitration and their decision will be final. This does not affect your statutory rights.

If any item fails due to poor workmanship or faulty materials we will be happy to replace the item free of charge in the first year from date of purchase. However, we cannot exchange the item if, in our opinion, it has been abused, has received abnormal wear and tear, or has been deliberately damaged. We will submit the item to the manufacturer, or distributor, for arbitration in case of dispute. Their decision will be final. This does not affect your statutory rights.

Any item returned to us must be clean and free from dirt. We will not act on any item which is soiled and in need of laundering.

All returns must be accompanied with a copy of the original receipt as proof of purchase. We cannot accept any product returns without this receipt.

Any goods that are returned for exchange must be accompanied with an appropriate postal charge payment so that we are able to redeliver the goods. Please email our customer services department, for details of these charges. No goods will be dispatched without payment.

Goods that are unsuitable will not be refunded or exchanged after 7 working days from receipt. If you return unsuitable goods to us after 7 working days of receipt, we will hold the item for you, either for collection or redelivery. Redelivery will incur a standard rate postal charge.

No postage and packing charges will be refunded on any orders, unless the goods are proven faulty, or we have been in error.

We advise you to send returned goods by a “signature on receipt” service, so that you have proof of delivery and know when they have arrived. We can take no responsibility for any goods that are either damaged, or lost in the post, whilst being returned to us.

Our refund policy does not cover any eventual failure of straps, zips and buckles caused by constant, excessive wear and tear. However some of our manufacturers will repair products free of charge in failures such as these. Please feel free to contact our customer services for help and advice in such matters.

Your privacy and the integrity of your personal data are of paramount importance to us. Any information collected from you is used solely for purposes of making your transactions on the RANGER web site both possible and enjoyable.

We guarantee never to sell, rent or trade your personal information to any third party.

By using the RANGER website, you consent to the collection and use of this information in order to make transactions between us possible.

In the event that we decide to change our privacy policy, we will publish those changes on this page so that you are always aware of what information we collect and how we use it.

We have a 100% secure online payment system. Your personal details are completely safe. When you place an order, or submit personal account information, all data is processed through a secure server. The secure server software (SSL) encrypts all information you input before it even leaves your computer.

As required by the UK Data Protection Acts of 1984 and 1998, RANGER follows strict security procedures both in the storage and the disclosure of information which you have given us, preventing illegal access at all times.
