The Trading Post was opened in Surbiton back in 1988 and we have been a destination store for outdoor enthusiasts ever since.  We are proud to serve the people of Surbiton and we have always considered ourselves to be a community shop making plenty of friends along the way.  However, we also attract customers from all over the world who make it a point to visit us on their stay in London and the UK.  We have also provided kit for expeditions worldwide, as well as for numerous films and television programmes.  There are very few army stores left with the breadth and depth of stock we hold, whilst still being able to offer genuine ex-military clothing and equipment.

Please note that we do not sell online although, by arrangement, we can post out to you.  We are still a Trading Post, in that we are happy to consider buying your ex-army items for resale.  Army surplus was the best kind of recycling in operation before people even thought about “recycling”.  Tough, durable, and made to exacting standards, ex-army kit can still be great value for money.
